Aluminized Products
Aluminized steel (ASTM-A463)
is hot-dip coated on both sides with an aluminium/silicon alloy
coating. This steel has the surface characteristics of aluminium
with the superior strength and lower cost of steel. It
is produced with a soft, satin-like finish.
| Type 1: |
| Is a hot-dip coated with
a aluminium /silicon alloy containing 5% - 11%
silicon to promote better adherence. It is intended principally
for heat-resisting applications and also for uses where
corrosion resistance and heat are involved. Possible
end uses are mufflers, furnaces, ovens, ranges, heaters,
water-heaters, fire places and baking pans. |
| Type 2: |
| Is a hot-dip coated with
commercially pure aluminium. It is intended principally
for applications requiring atmospheric corrosion resistance.
Type 2 may ultimately be manufactured into corrugated
roofing and siding, grain bins, air conditioner housings
and dry ovens. |
| Thermal Insulation: |
| Better for thermal insulation,
substitute of plain alumiunim sheets use for insulation
on pipes. Life of aluminised products is 7 times more
than plain aluminium. Aluminiuminized products
is superior in quality which saves labour of plain aluminium
insulation. |
